The MITO team welcomes a new PhD student, Théo Markezic

Théo Markezic, funded by IMCBio, starts his PhD studies in the "RNA-binding hubs" group.

Théo will work on pervasive and antisense transcription in phylogenetically distant bacteria, E. coli and S. aureus, using experimental evolution approaches. His work will take place in GMGM and IBMC under the supervision of Alexandre Smirnov and Isabelle Caldelari. Théo is funded by IMCBio, via the Inter-Labex PhD programme (MitoCross - NetRNA).
